When you are automating a strategy, if you lose internet or connection. It is important to re-synchronize automation when you are back online.
You can also use this to “phase into a strategy”. If you have a strategy signal but you don’t have a position for that strategy, you can manually enter the trade into the market and then synchronize automation.
Many traders like to do this by waiting for a “better entry point” to start automation. If you do this, you will often times miss a trade that has very little adverse excursion.
Understanding this is critical for automating strategies in Tradestation.
