Comparing V-Reversal E-mini Nasdaq in NinjaTrader 8 and Tradestation 10

Capstone Trading

The V-Reversal E-mini Nasdaq trading system is setup to trade back and forth price action in the stock index futures, and specifically the E-mini Nasdaq. Even when there is a strong trend on the daily charts, the intra-day price action can be counter trend and mean reverting.

This strategy has been developed to take long and short trades. A 100 point move up or down can happen quickly in the E-mini Nasdaq regardless of the longer-term trend.

In this video, we compare the hypothetical backtests over the last 3 1/2 years for this trading system in both the Tradestation and NinjaTrader 8 platform. We do not use slippage and commission to remove as many differences between the platforms so that we can accurately compare the difference.

Notice the average trade profit for a day trade strategy in the reports.

The NinjaTrader 8 version has been updated to take reversal trades to more closely match the reversal trades take by the Tradestation version.

This strategy can be leased individually and is also included in the portfolios. You can also contact us for live results or have a broker trade it for you.
