FOMC Rate Cut and Trading System Signals

We did not trade today since it is FOMC Day. The One Million MNS 128 signals showed about -$3,200 on the day and the Stock Index Portfolio 18 signals were -$2,300. These are hypotheticals that are not trading since our Portfolio rules Do Not Trade on FOMC currently.


The Fed cut rates by 50 basis points today. The market did not rally. It has been rallying for over two years in anticipation of easier monetary policy from the Fed, so it makes sense to potentially sell on the news.


The price action was sloppy as anticipated and our FOMC Trader did not signal any trades.


There are 8 trading days left in September and in the quarter.


Ive been working on my technology today as my main computer has been "acting up". I certainly have many technology "back ups" in this business.
