Live Trading System Signals on 04/25/2025

The stock indexes continued to climb yesterday with a very choppy rally while the VIX closed below 25 at 24.84, its lowest close since April 3rd. Yesterday, the price action looked a little bit like it does when the market continues to make all-time highs and is "running out of steam". The stock indexes are still below their 200 day moving averages.

The price action was very choppy in the first 2.5 hours followed by a very strong and nearly strait line trend starting at 12:00 noon for 1.5 hours. At 1:30 pm EST, the market spent 30 minutes going back to its starting price for the trend that started at 12 noon. At 2:00 pm EST, the market made a choppy move back to its highs. Fibonacci retracements are something to consider.

The first 1.5 hours we saw some very difficult divergent new high, new low, new high, new low that stopped out many initial longs in some extreme stop running price action. The buyers and sellers, bulls and bears, were in a tug of war yesterday. From an institutional positioning perspective, I believe the bears were correct in their desire to sell based on traditional technical and fundamental factors yesterday, while the bulls have been given the favor of the liquidity advantage from policy over the years to drive the market higher based on their own sentiment. We started earnings season this week as well.

The One Million MNS had a good week despite the challenging price action on Wednesday and was up yesterday +0.58% while the 250K Portfolio was up +$1,900. The start of the day appeared as if it would be challenging with many initial long trades getting stopped out.

V-Reversal, one of our top strategies went 0 for 7 this week after making strong equity peaks just last Friday. We discuss this strategy in detail, including last week's equity peak and this weeks losing streak here.

The Portfolio Calculator has been updated along with the Web App Portfolio Calculator through Friday's trade.
