Live Trading System Signals on 10/15/2024

The One Million MNS was down -0.53% while the 250K Portfolio was down -$1,060 in live trading on the day. The indexes opened around yesterdays close with some very quick and sharp selling starting around 10:06 am EST with a sharp low in the Nasdaq around 10:41 am EST. The market chopped around most of the day with some follow through selling between 3pm - 3:30 pm EST followed by a Pavlovic dip buying bounce back up into the close to the 10:41 am EST low price.

The Stock Index Portfolio 18 was down -$5,680 per E-mini and -$568 per Micro based on hypothetical signals.

The day was divergent between indexes with positive market internals early on and a strong E-mini Russell 2000 rally. The rotation trade from growth to value tries to emerge but with a steady VIX back above 20 and the potential for more inflation, we could be seeing a stealth bear market mode trying to overtake this two year bull market. The Russell 2000 futures did end up on the day slightly by 0.1% while the Nasdaq futures were down about -1.38%, S&P futures down about -0.80%, and Dow futures down about -0.83%.

The VIX moved up to 20.64 on the day and is still a red flag in my book.
