The Market and Portfolio Cycle Worked Again

(Note: We don't trade portfolios on days when the stock market is closed or closes early which is Thursday and Friday this week for the July 4th holiday).

Two weekends ago, we discussed the Market and Portfolio cycle from the 21st calendar date through the second trading day of the month. It has been a nice cycle, 12 out of the last 12 months as we entered the June-July cycle. It was favorable once again with hypothetical gains of $13.6K per E-mini in the Stock Index Portfolio 18 over the last 8 trading days.

Volatility has dropped and the price action has been very calm the last couple of weeks as the market made new highs into the end of the month and quarter as we also discussed. It will be interesting to see where the market moves next week. Often times, the holiday half days create a bullish drift higher. NVDA approaches a $4 Trillion market cap as the M2 Money supply also makes new highs.

The Portfolio Calculator has been updated through July 2, 2025.

Jobs Friday is today on this holiday half day and one day earlier in the week than normal with the holiday. There could be some big moves in a half day of trading. We are not scheduled to trade today. We look forward to picking up trading again on Monday. Have a great 4th of July!
