Trading System Signals on 06/04/2025

The bulls continue to work on keeping the bid but seem to be running out of steam a few percentage points from all-time highs. There seems to be enough liquidity to prop the market up, but there is limited interest and certainly a lack of "rage buying" to take the markets higher. The markets lacked energy today and failed to take out last week's highs.


The mode can change at any time and we focus on long and short opportunities.


The One Million MNS and 250K Portfolio stayed flat for live trading while we wait for a dip buying opportunity, not in the market, but in the equity curve of the Stock Index Portfolio 18 or Diversified Portfolio 42.


The Stock Index Portfolio 18 was up again today for a slight gain of $540 per contract for another equity peak.


V-Reversal had the right direction on two trades today but limited follow through to hit profit targets. Still going 2 for 2.

The ISM Services Index released at 9:00 am and the market dropped. We were 5 ticks away from a 400 tick profit target in the V-Reversal short before the market reversed. V-Reversal ended up reversing to long with a small gain on both the long and short side today. I continue to test more incremental exit strategies for these scenarios. Typically, these are one off moves that are not improved by adjusting all trades. There is some bias to adding more incremental exits to the short side in recent years though. I'll be publishing more on this soon.
