Trading System Signals on 12/27/2023

The live trading results for the 250K Portfolio - Portfolio 53 was +$2,400 on the day. All the gains were in the last 10-15 minutes of the day as the markets went from the low of the day to the high of the day in mostly narrow range trading with a declining VIX. 

Our anticipated observation that the Nasdaq wants to hit all-time highs on the last trading day of the year is still in play. It has to travel about 580 points from the price at 4:15 pm EST today in two days to hit all-time highs. This is an easy move to make over the last few years, but a pretty big stretch based on the current ranges in the market.

I like the concept of the market getting time squeezed. If the market in fact wants to hit a certain price by a certain time and it plays coy or hesitates, when it does finally move, it can be fast and furious since the amount of time left to make the move is limited. 

There are two trading days left in the week, month, and year. Since we are day traders, we could be able to take advantage of this move if it is during the day session.

The Stock Index Portfolio 27 Micro was up $297.75.
