Trading System Signals on January 12, 2022 - Inflationary Trends Persist with CPI

200K Portfolio = +$1,100

50K Portfolio = +$350

Core CPI was up 7% year over year today while Copper rallied 3% and Natural Gas 13%. We go over the commodity trends as we see commodities rally amidst real inflation.

Stocks don't know the party is over yet and rallied as well. Three day rally off of JP Morgans Marko Kolanavic's perma bull analyst said to buy the dip. Unless Jay Powell and the Fed have more stimulus for the market, it is difficult to see the market rallying in the midst of tightening monetary policy that will include a rise in interest rates as well as a reduced balance sheet.

We are flat at the end of the day and are glad to join the money flows for tomorrow's trade in either direction.
