Algorithmic Trading Setups To End Q1, 2026

The Nasdaq 100 index finally broke out of its six-month range that we have seen since October 2025 but is still in a seven-month trading range going back to September 2025. As we come to an end of the quarter, often times, there can be better trading opportunities, especially after the recent price action (notified by our signal frustration index), to end the quarter as institutional traders make end of quarter allocations that can drive more tone and trend in the market.

After a long period of noise, the portfolios in this video: Two System Portfolio NQ, Seven System Portfolio NQ, and Twenty-Seven System Portfolio NQ (with a 25 system Portfolio modification highlighted), give us a good drawdown entry alert with a nice potential runup with some more signal clarity at the end of the quarter and into Q2, 2026.

25 System Portfolio NQ Modification

Hypothetical Performance Summary

$25 Slippage and Commission

This is a portfolio level discussion of combined trading system analysis for Capstone Trading Systems subscribers.

NQ Liberation MR had two really challenging days but generated a drawdown entry alert in the process. This strategy is included with the Seven System and Twenty-Seven System Portfolios.

NQ Liberation MR Hypothetical Performance Summary

$25 Round Turn Slippage and Commission

4/10/2025 - 3/27/2026

Drawdown entry alerts give us the opportunity to enter at a point at a reduced risk to worse case drawdown so we can buffer a worse case drawdown. It isn't a guaranteed reversal point.
