VSD Breakout is a Nasdaq futures strategy that we are testing on equities. Today's signals include shorts in TSLA, RBLX, AMZN, and NVDA. It looks like the bears are causing the bulls to exit their long positions. It is the opposite of the bull market strategy where the bulls cause the bears to cover their shorts. According to Bank of America, this is the first time since 2008 there have been negative outflows in tech stocks. I like trading the short side but am always cautious when the market starts to pin the bulls. Flash crashes can become illiquid and make it challenging to execute long and short trades. We are short term traders and these strategies could reverse to the long side at any time.
