Updated: 11 hours ago

We have seen some range expansion after 12 noon the last two days in the Nasdaq. We are also seeing reversals back to the early session lows. The low today was at 12:51 pm EST at 24,783.50. The Nasdaq 100 futures then rallied until 3:01 pm EST to 25,123.75 for the afternoon high (not counting after hours), getting back to the 10:04 am EST lows, posted in the first 34 minutes of the trading session. The Nasdaq posted a steady mean reversion rally of 340 points in 2 hours and 10 minutes for the counter trend move.

"The market impresses with its ability to contain damage" CNBC talking head.

The market has contained extended moves as our "home run" strategy setups have been on a "cold" streak lately. Markets typically have the occasional directional trend day for home run day trades. The Open Range strategy did capture a nice move today on the short side, getting short early.

There were some nice gains early in the Diversified Portfolio 57 of nearly $10K to lock in some of the profits on the counter trend, mean reversion and trend strategies with profit targets and the Diversified Portfolio 57 had a nice day. The Diversified Portfolio 57 has struggled this year with wild prices in the metals moving us into a Nasdaq only focus, where ranges have been compressed, or markets are continually reversing.

Live trades are experiencing more than average slippage lately.
